Παραλειπομένων Α´

1 ΤΑΥΤΑ τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ· Ρουβήν, Συμεών, Λευί, Ἰούδα, Ἰσσάχαρ, Ζαβουλών,

These [are] the names of the sons of Israel;

2 Δάν, Ἰωσήφ, Βενιαμίν, Νεφθαλί, Γάδ, Ἀσήρ.

Ruben, Symeon, Levi, Juda, Issachar, Zabulon, Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad, Aser.

3 υἱοὶ Ἰούδα· Ἤρ, Αὐνάν, Σηλώμ, τρεῖς ἐγεννήθησαν αὐτῷ ἐκ τῆς θυγατρὸς Σαύας τῆς Χανανίτιδος. καὶ ἦν Ἢρ ὁ πρωτότοκος Ἰούδα πονηρὸς ἐναντίον Κυρίου, καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτόν.

The sons of Juda; Er, Aunan, Selom. [These] three were born to him of the daughter of Sava the Chananitish woman: and Er, the firstborn of Juda, [was] wicked before the Lord, and he killed him.

4 καὶ Θάμαρ ἡ νύμφη αὐτοῦ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Φαρὲς καὶ τὸν Ζαρά. πάντες υἱοὶ Ἰούδα πέντε.

And Thamar his daughter-in-law bore to him Phares, and Zara: all the sons of Juda [were] five.

5 υἱοὶ Φαρές· Ἐσρὼμ καὶ Ἰεμουήλ.

The sons of Phares, Esrom, and Jemuel.

6 καὶ υἱοὶ Ζαρά· Ζαμβρὶ καὶ Αἰθὰν καὶ Αἰμὰν καὶ Καλχὰλ καὶ Δαράδ, πάντες πέντε.

And the sons of Zara, Zambri, and Aetham, and Aemuan, and Calchal, and Darad, [in] all five.

7 καὶ υἱοὶ Χαρμί· Ἄχαρ ὁ ἐμποδοστάτης Ἰσραήλ, ὃς ἠθέτησεν εἰς τὸ ἀνάθεμα.

And the sons of Charmi; Achar the troubler of Israel, who was disobedient in the accursed thing.

8 καὶ υἱοὶ Αἰθάν, Ἀζαρίας.

And the sons of Aetham; Azarias,

9 καὶ υἱοὶ Ἐσρώμ, οἳ ἐτέχθησαν αὐτῷ· ὁ Ἱεραμεὴλ καὶ ὁ Ἀρὰμ καὶ ὁ Χαλέβ.

and the sons of Esrom who were born to him; Jerameel, and Aram, and Chaleb.

10 καὶ Ἀρὰμ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἀμιναδὰβ καὶ Ἀμιναδὰβ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ναασσὼν ἄρχοντα οἴκου Ἰούδα,

And Aram begot Aminadab, and Aminadab begot Naasson, chief of the house of Juda.

11 καὶ Ναασσὼν ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαλμών, καὶ Σαλμὼν ἐγέννησε τὸν Βοόζ,

And Naasson begot Salmon, and Salmon begot Booz,

12 καὶ Βοὸζ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ὠβήδ, καὶ Ὠβὴδ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰεσσαί,

and Booz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jessae.

13 καὶ Ἰεσσαὶ ἐγέννησε τὸν πρωτότοκον αὐτοῦ τὸν Ἐλιάβ· Ἀμιναδὰβ ὁ δεύτερος, Σαμαὰ ὁ τρίτος,

And Jessae begot his firstborn Eliab, Aminadab [was] the second, Samaa the third,

14 Ναθαναὴλ ὁ τέταρτος, Ζαδδαΐ ὁ πέμπτος,

Nathanael the fourth, Zabdai the fifth,

15 Ἀσὸμ ὁ ἕκτος, Δαυὶδ ὁ ἕβδομος,

Asam the sixth, David the seventh.

16 καὶ ἡ ἀδελφὴ αὐτῶν Σαρουία καὶ Ἀβιγαία· καὶ υἱοὶ Σαρουία· Ἀβισὰ καὶ Ἰωὰβ καὶ Ἀσαήλ, τρεῖς.

And their sister [was] Saruia, and [another] Abigaia: and the sons of Saruia [were] Abisa, and Joab, and Asael, three.

17 καὶ Ἀβιγαία ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἀμεσσά· καὶ πατὴρ Ἀμεσσὰ Ἰοθὸρ ὁ Ἰσμαηλίτης.

And Abigaia bore Amessab: and the father of Amessab [was] Jothor the Ismaelite.

18 καὶ Χαλὲβ υἱὸς Ἐσρὼμ ἔλαβε τὴν Γαζουβὰ γυναῖκα καὶ τὴν Ἱεριώθ. καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ αὐτῆς· Ἰασὰρ καὶ Σουβὰβ καὶ Ὀρνά.

And Chaleb the son of Esrom took Gazuba to wife, and Jerioth: and these [were] her sons; Jasar, and Subab, and Ardon.

19 καὶ ἀπέθανε Γαζουβά, καὶ ἔλαβεν ἑαυτῷ Χαλὲβ τὴν Ἐφράθ, καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Ὤρ·

And Gazuba died; and Chaleb took to himself Ephrath, and she bore to him Or.

20 καὶ Ὢρ ἐγέννησε τὸν Οὐρί, καὶ Οὐρὶ ἐγέννησε τὸν Βεσελεήλ.

And Or begot Uri, and Uri begot Beseleel.

21 καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσῆλθεν Ἐσρὼν πρὸς τὴν θυγατέρα Μαχὶρ πατρὸς Γαλαάδ, καὶ οὗτος ἔλαβεν αὐτήν, καὶ αὐτὸς ἑξηκονταπέντε ἐτῶν ἦν. καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Σερούχ.

And after this Esron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Galaad, and he took her when he was sixty-five years old; and she bore him Seruch.

22 καὶ Σεροὺχ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰαΐρ. καὶ ἦσαν αὐτῷ εἴκοσι καὶ τρεῖς πόλεις ἐν τῇ Γαλαάδ.

And Seruch begot Jair, and he had twenty-three cities in Galaad.

23 καὶ ἔλαβε Γεδσοὺρ καὶ Ἀρὰμ τὰς κώμας Ἰαΐρ ἐξ αὐτῶν, τὴν Κανὰθ καὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτῆς, ἑξήκοντα πόλεις· πᾶσαι αὗται υἱῶν Μαχὶρ πατρὸς Γαλαάδ.

And he took Gedsur and Aram, the towns of Jair from them; [with] Canath and its towns, sixty cities. All these [belonged to] the sons of Machir the father of Galaad.

24 καὶ μετὰ τὸ ἀποθανεῖν Ἐσρὼν ἦλθε Χαλὲβ εἰς Ἐφραθά. καὶ ἡ γυνὴ Ἐσρὼν Ἀβιά, καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Ἀσχὼδ πατέρα Θεκωέ.

And after the death of Esron, Chaleb came to Ephratha; and the wife of Esron [was] Abia; and she bore him Ascho the father of Thecoe.

25 καὶ ἦσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἱεραμεὴλ πρωτοτόκου Ἐσρών, ὁ πρωτότοκος Ράμ, καὶ Βαανὰ καὶ Ἀρὰν καὶ Ἀσὸμ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ.

And the sons of Jerameel the firstborn of Esron [were], the firstborn Ram, and Banaa, and Aram, and Asan his brother.

26 καὶ ἦν γυνὴ ἑτέρα τῷ Ἱεραμεήλ, καὶ ὄνομα αὐτῇ Ἀτάρα· αὕτη ἐστὶ μήτηρ Ὀζόμ.

And Jerameel had another wife, and her name [was] Atara: she is the mother of Ozom.

27 καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ Ρὰμ πρωτοτόκου Ἱεραμεήλ· Μαὰς καὶ Ἰαμὶν καὶ Ἀκόρ.

And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerameel were Maas, and Jamin, and Acor.

28 καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ Ὀζόμ· Σαμαΐ καὶ Ἰαδαέ. καὶ υἱοὶ Σαμαΐ· Ναδὰβ καὶ Ἀβισούρ.

And the sons of Ozom were, Samai, and Jadae: and the sons of Samai; Nadab, and Abisur.

29 καὶ ὄνομα τῆς γυναικὸς Ἀβισοὺρ Ἀβιχαία, καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Ἀχαβὰρ καὶ τὸν Μωήλ.

And the name of the wife of Abisur [was] Abichaia, and she bore him Achabar, and Moel.

30 καὶ υἱοὶ Ναδάβ· Σαλὰδ καὶ Ἀπφαίν. καὶ ἀπέθανε Σαλὰδ οὐκ ἔχων τέκνα.

And the sons of Nadab; Salad and Apphain; and Salad died without children.

31 καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀπφαίν· Ἰσεμιήλ. καὶ υἱοὶ Ἰσεμιήλ· Σωσάν. καὶ υἱοὶ Σωσάν· Ἀαδαί.

And the sons of Apphain, Isemiel; and the sons of Isemiel, Sosan; and the sons of Sosan, Dadai.

32 καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀαδαί· Ἀχισαμάς, Ἰεθέρ, Ἰωνάθαν· καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ἰεθὲρ οὐκ ἔχων τέκνα.

And the sons of Dadai, Achisamas, Jether, Jonathan: and Jether died childless.

33 καὶ υἱοὶ Ἰωνάθαν· Φαλὲδ καὶ Ὁζάμ. οὗτοι ἦσαν υἱοὶ Ἱεραμεήλ.

And the sons of Jonathan; Phaleth, and Hozam. These were the sons of Jerameel.

34 καὶ οὐκ ἦσαν τῷ Σωσὰν υἱοί, ἀλλ᾿ ἢ θυγατέρες· καὶ τῷ Σωσὰν παῖς Αἰγύπτιος, καὶ ὄνομα αὐτῷ Ἰωχήλ,

And Sosan had no sons, but daughters. And Sosan had an Egyptian servant, and his name [was] Jochel.

35 καὶ ἔδωκε Σωσὰν τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ τῷ Ἰωχὴλ παιδὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς γυναῖκα, καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Ἐθθί.

And Sosan gave his daughter to Jochel his servant to wife; and she bore him Ethi.

36 καὶ Ἐθθὶ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ναθάν, καὶ Ναθὰν ἐγέννησε τὸν Ζαβέδ,

And Ethi begot Nathan, and Nathan begot Zabed,

37 καὶ Ζαβὲδ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἀφαμήλ, καὶ Ἀφαμὴλ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ὠβήδ,

and Zabed begot Aphamel, and Aphamel begot Obed.

38 καὶ Ὠβὴδ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰηού, καὶ Ἰηοὺ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἀζαρίαν,

And Obed begot Jeu, and Jeu begot Azarias.

39 καὶ Ἀζαρίας ἐγέννησε τὸν Χελλής, καὶ Χελλὴς ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἐλεασά,

And Azarias begot Chelles, and Chelles begot Eleasa,

40 καὶ Ἐλεασὰ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σοσομαΐ, καὶ Σοσομαΐ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαλούμ,

and Eleasa begot Sosomai, and Sosomai begot Salum,

41 καὶ Σαλοὺμ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰεχεμίαν, καὶ Ἰεχεμίας ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἐλισαμά, καὶ Ἐλισαμὰ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰσμαήλ.

and Salum begot Jechemias, and Jechemias begot Elisama, and Elisama begot Ismael.

42 καὶ υἱοὶ Χαλὲβ ἀδελφοῦ Ἱεραμεήλ· Μαρισὰ ὁ πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ, οὗτος πατὴρ Ζίφ· καὶ υἱοὶ Μαρισὰ πατρὸς Χεβρών.

And the sons of Chaleb the brother of Jerameel [were], Marisa his firstborn, he [is] the father of Ziph:—and the sons of Marisa the father of Chebron.

43 καὶ υἱοὶ Χεβρών· Κορὲ καὶ Θαπφοὺς καὶ Ρεκὸμ καὶ Σαμαά.

And the sons of Chebron; Core, and Thapphus, and Recom, and Samaa.

44 καὶ Σαμαὰ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ραὲμ πατέρα Ἰεκλάν, καὶ Ἰεκλὰν ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαμαΐ·

And Samaa begot Raem the father of Jeclan: and Jeclan begot Samai.

45 καὶ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Μαών, καὶ Μαὼν πατὴρ Βαιθσούρ.

And his son [was] Maon: and Maon [is] the father of Baethsur.

46 καὶ Γαιφὰ ἡ παλλακὴ Χαλὲβ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἀρρὰν καὶ τὸν Μωσὰ καὶ τὸν Γεζουέ.

And Gaepha the concubine of Chaleb bore Aram, and Mosa, and Gezue.

47 καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀδδαΐ· Ραγὲμ καὶ Ἰωάθαμ καὶ Σωγὰρ καὶ Φαλὲκ καὶ Γαιφὰ καὶ Σαγαέ.

And the sons of Addai [were] Ragem, and Joatham, and Sogar, and Phalec, and Gaepha, and Sagae.

48 καὶ ἡ παλλακὴ Χαλὲβ Μωχὰ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαβὲρ καὶ τὸν Θαράμ.

And Chaleb's concubine Mocha bore Saber, and Tharam.

49 καὶ ἐγέννησε Σαγαὲ πατέρα Μαρμηνὰ καὶ τὸν Σαοὺ πατέρα Μαχαμηνὰ καὶ πατέρα Γαιβαά· καὶ θυγάτηρ Χαλὲβ Ἀσχά.

She bore also Sagae the father of Madmena, and Sau the father of Machabena, and the father of Gaebal: and the daughter of Chaleb [was] Ascha.

50 οὗτοι ἦσαν υἱοὶ Χαλέβ. υἱοὶ Ὢρ πρωτοτόκου Ἐφραθά· Σωβὰλ πατὴρ Καριαθιαρίμ.

These were the sons of Chaleb: the sons of Or the firstborn of Ephratha; Sobal the father of Cariathiarim,

51 Σαλωμὼν πατὴρ Βαιθλαὲμ καὶ Ἀρὶμ πατὴρ Βαιθγεδώρ.

Salomon the father of Baetha, Lammon the father of Baethalaem, and Arim the father of Bethgedor.

52 καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ τῷ Σωβὰλ πατρὶ Καριαθιαρίμ· Ἀραὰ καὶ Αἰσὶ καὶ Ἀμμανὶθ

And the sons of Sobal the father of Cariathiarim were Araa, and Aesi, and Ammanith,

53 καὶ Οὐμασφαέ, πόλις Ἰαΐρ, Αἰθαλὶμ καὶ Μιφιθὶμ καὶ Ἡσαμαθὶμ καὶ Ἡμασαραΐμ· ἐκ τούτων ἐξήλθοσαν οἱ Σαραθαῖοι καὶ υἱοὶ Ἐσθαάμ.

and Umasphae, cities of Jair; Aethalim, and Miphithim, and Hesamathim, and Hemasaraim; from these went forth the Sarathaeans, and the sons of Esthaam.

54 υἱοὶ Σαλωμών· Βαιθλαέμ, Νετωφαθί, Ἀταρὼθ οἴκου Ἰωὰβ καὶ ἥμισυ τῆς Μαλαθί, Ἠσαρί,

The sons of Salomon; Baethalaem, the Netophathite, Ataroth of the house of Joab, and half of the family of Malathi, Esari.

55 πατριαὶ γραμματέων κατοικοῦντες ἐν Ἰάβις, Θαργαθιΐμ, Σαμαθιΐμ, καὶ Σωχαθίμ· οὗτοι οἱ Κιναῖοι οἱ ἐλθόντες ἐκ Μεσημὰ πατρὸς οἴκου Ρηχάβ.

The families of the scribes dwelling in Jabis; Thargathiim, and Samathiim, and Sochathim, these [are] the Kinaeans that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
