Privacy Policy

The short version: there are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies. Almost nothing leaves your browser, and what does is listed below.

What stays in your browser

Your reading progress, prayer rope counts, quiz history, theme and calendar preference are kept in your own browser using local storage. They are never sent anywhere, never seen by anyone else, and are not readable by this site from any other device. Clearing your browser data erases them, and nothing is kept elsewhere to restore them from.

What leaves your browser

Fonts. Typefaces are fetched from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and the fact that a page on this site was loaded.

The community count. The header shows how many people are in the Discord server. That is a request to Discord's public widget for the server. It asks Discord a question about the server; it sends Discord nothing about you beyond the ordinary details of any web request, such as your IP address.

Suggestions. If you use the Suggest form, what you type in it is stored so it can be reviewed: the kind of suggestion, the category, your title and description, any sources you list, and a name or contact only if you choose to give one. It is stored with Google Firestore. Do not put anything sensitive in the form.

What is not collected

No analytics or tracking scripts of any kind. No advertising. No cookies. No profile of you, no reading history sent anywhere, and nothing shared or sold. An ordinary visit to this site does not contact the database at all.

Signing in

Sign-in exists only for the person who reviews community suggestions, and only on the review page. It uses your Google account, and records the identifier of the account that reviewed each suggestion. Readers never need to sign in and are never asked to.

Hosting

The site is served by Firebase Hosting, which keeps ordinary web server logs.

Removing a suggestion

If you sent a suggestion and want it deleted, ask through the Discord server and it will be removed.
