Psalm 107
Psalm 108 in the Hebrew numbering, which most Western Bibles follow.
(108) Song of a Psalm by David. O God, my heart is ready, my heart is ready; I will sing and sing psalms with my glory.
In the English, this verse is part of verse 1.
Awake, lute and harp; I will awake early. (verse 2 in Brenton's English)
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, amongst the people; I will sing praise to you amongst the Gentiles. (verse 3 in Brenton's English)
For your mercy is great above the heavens, and your truth [reaches] to the clouds. (verse 4 in Brenton's English)
Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens; and your glory above all the earth. (verse 5 in Brenton's English)
That your beloved [ones] may be delivered, save with your right hand, and hear me. God has spoken in his sanctuary; (verse 6 in Brenton's English)
I will be exalted, and will divide Sicima, and will measure out the valley of tents. (verse 7 in Brenton's English)
Galaad is mine; and Manasses is mine; and Ephraim is the help of my head; Judas is my king; (verse 8 in Brenton's English)
Moab is the cauldron of my hope; over Idumea will I cast my sandal; the Philistines are made subject to me. (verse 9 in Brenton's English)
11 τίς ἀπάξει με εἰς πόλιν περιοχῆς; ἢ τίς ὁδηγήσει με ἕως τῆς Ἰδουμαίας;
Who will bring me into the fortified city? or who will guide me to Idumea? (verse 10 in Brenton's English)
12 οὐχὶ σύ, ὁ Θεός, ὁ ἀπωσάμενος ἡμᾶς; καὶ οὐκ ἐξελεύσῃ, ὁ Θεός, ἐν ταῖς δυνάμεσιν ἡμῶν;
Will not you, O God, who have rejected us? and will not you, O God, go forth with our hosts? (verse 11 in Brenton's English)
Give us help from tribulation: for vain is the help of man. (verse 12 in Brenton's English)
Through God we shall do valiantly; and he will bring to nothing our enemies. (verse 13 in Brenton's English)
