Παραλειπομένων Α´

1 ΚΑΙ πᾶς Ἰσραὴλ ὁ συλλοχισμὸς αὐτῶν, καὶ οὗτοι καταγεγραμμένοι ἐν βιβλίῳ τῶν βασιλέων Ἰσραὴλ καὶ Ἰούδα μετὰ τῶν ἀποικισθέντων εἰς Βαβυλῶνα ἐν ταῖς ἀνομίαις αὐτῶν,

And [this is] all Israel, [even] their enrolment: and these [are] written down in the book of the kings of Israel and Juda, with the [names of them] that were carried away to Babylon for their transgressions.

2 καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες πρότερον ἐν ταῖς κατασχέσεσιν αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν Ἰσραήλ, οἱ ἱερεῖς, οἱ Λευῖται καὶ οἱ δεδομένοι.

And they that lived before in their possessions in the cities of Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the appointed ones.

3 καὶ ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ κατῴκησαν ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰούδα καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμὶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ἐφραὶμ καὶ Μανασσῆ·

And there lived in Jerusalem some of the children of Juda, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasse.

4 Γνωθὶ καὶ υἱὸς Ἀμμιούδ, υἱοῦ Ἀμρί, υἱοῦ υἱῶν Φαρὲς υἱοῦ Ἰούδα.

And Gnothi, and the son of Samiud, the son of Amri, the son of Ambraim, the son of Buni, son of the sons of Phares, the son of Juda.

5 καὶ ἐκ τῶν Σηλωνί· Ἀσαΐα πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ.

And of the Selonites; Asaia his firstborn, and his sons.

6 ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Ζαρά· Ἰεὴλ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν, ἑξακόσιοι καὶ ἐνενήκοντα.

Of the sons of Zara; Jeel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

7 καὶ ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμίν· Σαλὼ υἱὸς Μοσολλὰμ υἱοῦ Ὠδουΐα υἱοῦ Ἀσινοῦ

And of the sons of Benjamin; Salom, son of Mosollam, son of Odouia, son of Asinu.

8 καὶ Ἰεμναὰ υἱὸς Ἱεροβοὰμ καὶ Ἠλώ· οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ὀζὶ υἱοῦ Μαχίρ· καὶ Μασσαλὴμ υἱὸς Σαφατία υἱοῦ Ραγουὴλ υἱοῦ Ἰεμναΐ

And Jemnaa son of Jeroboam, and Elo: these [are] the sons of Ozi the son of Machir: and Mosollam, son of Saphatia, son of Raguel, son of Jemnai;

9 καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν, ἐννακόσιοι πεντηκονταέξ, πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες ἄρχοντες πατριῶν κατ᾿ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν.

and their brethren according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six, all the men [were] heads of families according to the houses of their fathers.

10 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἱερέων· Ἰωδαὲ καὶ Ἰωαρὶμ καὶ Ἰαχὶν

And of the priests; Jodae, and Joarim, and Jachin,

11 καὶ Ἀζαρία υἱὸς Χελκία υἱοῦ Μοσολλὰμ υἱοῦ Σαδὼκ υἱοῦ Μαραϊὼθ υἱοῦ Ἀχιτὼβ ἡγούμενος οἴκου τοῦ Θεοῦ

and Azaria the son of Chelcias, the son of Mosollam, the son of Sadoc, the son of Maraioth, the son of Achitob, the ruler of the house of God;

12 καὶ Ἀδαΐα υἱὸς Ἰραὰμ υἱοῦ Φασχὼρ υἱοῦ Μελχία καὶ Μαασαία υἱὸς Ἀδιὴλ υἱοῦ Ἐζιρὰ υἱοῦ Μοσολλὰμ υἱοῦ Μασελμὼθ υἱοῦ Ἐμμὴρ

and Adaia son of Iraam, son of Phascor, son of Melchia, and Maasaia son of Adiel, son of Ezira, son of Mosollam, son of Maselmoth, son of Emmer;

13 καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν χίλιοι καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι καὶ ἑξήκοντα, ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει εἰς ἐργασίαν λειτουργίας οἴκου τοῦ Θεοῦ.

and their brethren, chiefs of their families, a thousand and seven hundred and sixty, mighty [men] for the work of the ministration of the house of God.

14 καὶ ἐκ τῶν Λευιτῶν· Σαμαΐα υἱὸς Ἀσὼβ υἱοῦ Ἐζρικὰμ υἱοῦ Ἀσαβία ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Μεραρί,

And of the Levites; Samaia son of Asob, son of Ezricam, son of Asabia, of the sons of Merari.

15 καὶ Βακβακὰρ καὶ Ἀρὴς καὶ Γαλαὰλ καὶ Ματθανίας υἱὸς Μιχὰ υἱοῦ Ζεχρὶ υἱοῦ Ἀσὰφ

And Bacbacar, and Ares, and Galaal, and Matthanias son of Micha, son of Zechri, son of Asaph;

16 καὶ Ἀβδία υἱὸς Σαμία υἱοῦ Γαλαὰλ υἱοῦ Ἰδιθοῦν καὶ Βαραχία υἱὸς Ὀσσὰ υἱοῦ Ἑλκανά, ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν ταῖς κώμαις Νετωφατί.

and Abdia, son of Samia, son of Galaal, son of Idithun, and Barachia son of Ossa, son of Helcana—who lived in the villages of the Notephatites.

17 οἱ πυλωροί· Σαλώμ, Ἀκούμ, Τελμὼν καὶ Αἰμὰν καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν, Σαλὼμ ὁ ἄρχων·

The doorkeepers; Salom, Acum, Telmon, and Diman, and their brethren; Salom [was] the chief;

18 καὶ ἕως ταύτης ἐν τῇ πύλῃ τοῦ βασιλέως κατ᾿ ἀνατολάς· αὗται αἱ πύλαι τῶν παρεμβολῶν υἱῶν Λευί.

and [he waited] hitherto in the king's gate eastward: these [are] the gates of the companies of the sons of Levi.

19 καὶ Σαλὼμ υἱὸς Κωρὴ υἱοῦ Ἀβιασὰφ υἱοῦ Κορέ. καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς οἶκον πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, οἱ Κορῖται, ἐπὶ τῶν ἔργων τῆς λειτουργίας φυλάσσοντες τὰς φυλακὰς τῆς σκηνῆς, καὶ πατέρες αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῆς παρεμβολῆς Κυρίου φυλάσσοντες τὴν εἴσοδον.

And Sellum the son of Core, the son of Abiasaph, the son of Core, and his brethren belonging to the house of his father, the Corites [were] over the works of the service, keeping the watches of the tabernacle, and their fathers over the camp of the Lord, keeping the entrance.

20 καὶ Φινεὲς υἱὸς Ἐλεάζαρ ἡγούμενος ἦν ἐπ᾿ αὐτῶν ἔμπροσθεν Κυρίου, καὶ οὗτοι μετ᾿ αὐτοῦ.

And Phinees son of Eleazar was head over them before the Lord, and these [were] with him.

21 Ζαχαρίας υἱὸς Μασαλαμὶ πυλωρὸς τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου.

Zacharias the son of Mosollami [was] keeper of the door of the tabernacle of witness.

22 πάντες οἱ ἐκλεκτοὶ ἐπὶ τῆς πύλης ἐν ταῖς πύλαις διακόσιοι καὶ δεκαδύο· οὗτοι ἐν ταῖς αὐλαῖς αὐτῶν, ὁ καταλοχισμὸς αὐτῶν· τούτους ἔστησε Δαυὶδ καὶ Σαμουὴλ ὁ βλέπων τῇ πίστει αὐτῶν.

All the chosen porters in the gates [were] two hundred and twelve, these [were] in their courts, [this was] their distribution: these David and Samuel the seer established in their charge.

23 καὶ οὗτοι καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῶν πυλῶν ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου καὶ ἐν οἴκῳ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ φυλάσσειν.

And these and their sons [were] over the gates in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the tabernacle, to keep watch.

24 κατὰ τοὺς τέσσαρας ἀνέμους ἦσαν αἱ πύλαι, κατὰ ἀνατολάς, θάλασσαν, βορρᾶν, νότον.

The gates were towards the four winds, eastward, westward, northward, southward.

25 καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς αὐλαῖς αὐτῶν τοῦ εἰσπορεύεσθαι κατὰ ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἀπὸ καιροῦ εἰς καιρὸν μετὰ τούτων.

And their brethren [were] in their courts, to enter in weekly from time to time with these.

26 ὅτι ἐν πίστει εἰσὶ τέσσαρες δυνατοὶ τῶν πυλῶν. καὶ οἱ Λευῖται ἦσαν ἐπὶ τῶν παστοφορίων, καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν θησαυρῶν οἴκου τοῦ Θεοῦ παρεμβάλλουσιν,

For four strong [men] have the charge of the gates; and the Levites were over the chambers, and they keep watch over the treasures of the house of God.

27 ὅτι ἐπ᾿ αὐτοὺς ἡ φυλακή, καὶ οὗτοι ἐπὶ τῶν κλειδῶν τὸ πρωΐ πρωΐ ἀνοίγειν τὰς θύρας τοῦ ἱεροῦ.

For the charge [was] upon them, and these [were] charged with the keys to open the doors of the temple every morning.

28 καὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὰ σκεύη τῆς λειτουργίας, ὅτι ἐν ἀριθμῷ εἰσοίσουσι καὶ ἐν ἀριθμῷ ἐξοίσουσι.

And [some] of them [were appointed] over the vessels of service, that they should carry them in by number, and carry them out by number.

29 καὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν καθεσταμένοι ἐπὶ τὰ σκεύη καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα σκεύη τὰ ἅγια καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς σεμιδάλεως, τοῦ οἴνου, τοῦ ἐλαίου, τοῦ λιβανωτοῦ καὶ τῶν ἀρωμάτων.

And [some] of them [were] appointed over the furniture, and over all the holy vessels, and over the fine flour, the wine, the oil, the frankincense, and the spices.

30 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν τῶν ἱερέων ἦσαν μυρεψοὶ τοῦ μύρου καὶ εἰς τὰ ἀρώματα.

And some of the priests were makers of the ointment, and [appointed to prepare] the spices.

31 καὶ Ματταθίας ἐκ τῶν Λευιτῶν (οὗτος ὁ πρωτότοκος τῷ Σαλὼμ τῷ Κορίτῃ) ἐν τῇ πίστει ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα τῆς θυσίας τοῦ τηγάνου τοῦ μεγάλου ἱερέως.

And Matthathias of the Levites, (he [was] the firstborn of Salom the Corite,) [was set] in charge over the sacrifices of meat-offering of the pan belonging to the high priest.

32 καὶ Βαναΐας ὁ Κααθίτης ἐκ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῶν ἄρτων τῆς προθέσεως τοῦ ἑτοιμάσαι σάββατον κατὰ σάββατον.

And Banaias the Caathite, from amongst their brethren, [was set] over the show bread, to prepare it every sabbath.

33 καὶ οὗτοι ψαλτῳδοὶ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τῶν Λευιτῶν, διατεταγμέναι ἐφημερίαι, ὅτι ἡμέρα καὶ νὺξ ἐπ᾿ αὐτοῖς ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις.

And these [were] the singers, heads of families of the Levites, [to whom were] established daily courses, for they were employed in the services day and night.

34 οὗτοι ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τῶν Λευιτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες· οὗτοι κατῴκησαν ἐν Ἱερουσαλήμ.

These [were] the heads of the families of the Levites according to their generations; these chiefs lived in Jerusalem.

35 καὶ ἐν Γαβαὼν κατῴκησε πατὴρ Γαβαὼν Ἰεήλ, καὶ ὄνομα γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ Μααχά.

And Jeel the father of Gabaon lived in Gabaon; and his wife's name [was] Moocha.

36 καὶ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ὁ πρωτότοκος Ἀβαδὼν καὶ Σοὺρ καὶ Κὶς καὶ Βαὰλ καὶ Νὴρ καὶ Ναδὰβ

And his firstborn son [was] Abdon, and [he had] Sur, and Kis, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,

37 καὶ Γεδοὺρ καὶ ἀδελφὸς καὶ Ζακχοὺρ καὶ Μακελώθ.

and Gedur and [his] brother, and Zacchur, and Makeloth.

38 καὶ Μακελὼθ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαμαά. καὶ οὗτοι ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν κατῴκησαν ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν.

And Makeloth begot Samaa: and these lived in the midst of their brethren in Jerusalem, [even] in the midst of their brethren.

39 καὶ Νὴρ ἐγέννησε τὸν Κίς, καὶ Κὶς ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαούλ, καὶ Σαοὺλ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰωνάθαν καὶ τὸν Μελχισουὲ καὶ τὸν Ἀμιναδὰβ καὶ τὸν Ἀσαβάλ.

And Ner begot Kis, and Kis begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, and Melchisue, and Aminadab, and Asabal.

40 καὶ υἱὸς Ἰωνάθαν Μεριβαάλ· καὶ Μεριβαὰλ ἐγέννησε τὸν Μιχά.

And the son of Jonathan [was] Meribaal: and Meribaal begot Micha.

41 καὶ υἱοὶ Μιχά· Φιθὼν καὶ Μαλὰχ καὶ Θαράχ.

And the sons of Micha [were] Phithon and Malach, and Tharach.

42 καὶ Ἀχὰζ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰαδά, καὶ Ἰαδὰ ἐγέννησε τὸν Γαλεμὲθ καὶ τὸν Γαζμὼθ καὶ τὸν Ζαμβρί, καὶ Ζαμβρὶ ἐγέννησε τὸν Μασά,

And Achaz begot Jada: and Jada begot Galemeth, and Gazmoth, and Zambri; and Zambri begot Massa.

43 καὶ Μασὰ ἐγέννησε τὸν Βαανά, Ραφαΐα υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ἐλασὰ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ἐσὴλ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ.

And Massa begot Baana, and Rhaphaia [was] his son, Elasa his son, Esel his son.

44 καὶ τῷ Ἐσὴλ ἓξ υἱοί, καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν· Ἐζρικὰμ πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ καὶ Ἰσμαὴλ καὶ Σαραΐα καὶ Ἀβδία καὶ Ἀνὰν καὶ Ἀσά. οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἐσήλ.

And Esel had six sons, and these [were] their names; Esricam his firstborn, and Ismael, and Saraia, and Abdia, and Anan, and Asa: these [were] the sons of Esel.
