Ἔσδρας Β´
1 ΚΑΙ οὗτοι οἱ υἱοὶ τῆς χώρας οἱ ἀναβαίνοντες ἀπὸ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας τῆς ἀποικίας, ἧς ἀπῴκισε Ναβουχοδονόσορ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Βαβυλῶνα, καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν εἰς Ἱερουσαλὴμ καὶ Ἰούδα ἀνὴρ εἰς πόλιν αὐτοῦ,
And these [are] the people of the land that went up, of the number of prisoners who were removed, whom Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon carried away to Babylon, and they returned to Juda and Jerusalem, every man to his city;
2 οἳ ἦλθον μετὰ Ζοροβάβελ· Ἰησοῦς, Νεεμίας, Σαραΐας, Ρεελίας, Μαρδοχαῖος, Βαλασάν, Μασφάρ, Βαγουαί, Ρεούμ, Βαανά, ἀνδρῶν ἀριθμὸς λαοῦ Ἰσραήλ·
who came with Zorobabel: Jesus, Neemias, Saraias, Reelias, Mardochaeus, Balasan, Masphar, Baguai, Reum, Baana. The number of the people of Israel:
3 υἱοὶ Φαρὲς δισχίλιοι ἑκατὸν ἑβδομηκονταδύο·
the children of Phares, two thousand and one hundred and seventy-two.
4 υἱοὶ Σαφατία τριακόσιοι ἑβδομηκονταπέντε·
The children of Saphatia, three hundred and seventy-two.
5 υἱοὶ Ἄρες ἑπτακόσιοι ἑβδομηκονταπέντε·
The children of Ares, seven hundred and seventy-five.
6 υἱοὶ Φαὰθ Μωὰβ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰησουὲ Ἰωὰβ δισχίλιοι ὀκτακόσιοι δεκαδύο·
The children of Phaath Moab, belonging to the sons of Jesue [and] Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and twelve.
7 υἱοὶ Αἰλὰμ χίλιοι διακόσιοι πεντηκοντατέσσαρες·
The children of Aelam, a thousand and two hundred and fifty-four.
8 υἱοὶ Ζατθουὰ ἐνακόσιοι τεσσαρακονταπέντε·
The children of Zatthua, nine hundred and forty-five.
9 υἱοὶ Ζακχοὺ ἑπτακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα·
The children of Zacchu, seven hundred and sixty.
10 υἱοὶ Βανουὶ ἑξακόσιοι τεσσαρακονταδύο·
The children of Banui, six hundred and forty-two.
11 υἱοὶ Βαβαΐ ἑξακόσιοι εἰκοσιτρεῖς·
The children of Babai, six hundred and twenty-three.
12 υἱοὶ Ἀσγὰδ χίλιοι διακόσιοι εἰκοσιδύο·
The children of Asgad, a thousand and two hundred and twenty-two.
13 υἱοὶ Ἀδωνικὰμ ἑξακόσιοι ἑξηκονταέξ·
The children of Adonicam, six hundred and sixty-six.
14 υἱοὶ Βαγουὲ δισχίλιοι πεντηκονταέξ·
The children of Bague, two thousand and fifty-six.
15 υἱοὶ Ἀδδὶν τετρακόσιοι πεντηκοντατέσσαρες·
The children of Addin, four hundred and fifty-four.
16 υἱοὶ Ἀτὴρ τῷ Ἐζεκίᾳ ἐνενηκονταοκτώ·
The children of Ater [the son] of Ezekias, ninety eight.
17 υἱοὶ Βασσοῦ τριακόσιοι εἰκοσιτρεῖς·
The children of Bassu, three hundred and twenty-three.
18 υἱοὶ Ἰωρὰ ἑκατὸν δεκαδύο·
The children of Jora, one hundred and twelve.
19 υἱοὶ Ἀσοὺμ διακόσιοι εἰκοσιτρεῖς·
The children of Asum, two hundred and twenty-three.
20 υἱοὶ Γαβὲρ ἐνενηκονταπέντε·
The children of Gaber, ninety-five.
21 υἱοὶ Βεθλαὲμ ἑκατὸν εἰκοσιτρεῖς·
The children of Bethlaem, one hundred and twenty-three.
22 υἱοὶ Νετωφὰ πεντηκονταέξ·
The children of Netopha, fifty-six.
23 υἱοὶ Ἀναθὼθ ἑκατὸν εἰκοσιοκτώ·
The children of Anathoth, one hundred and twenty-eight.
24 υἱοὶ Ἀζμὼθ τεσσαρακοντατρεῖς·
The children of Azmoth, forty-three.
25 υἱοὶ Καριαθιαρὶμ Χαφιρὰ καὶ Βηρὼθ ἑπτακόσιοι τεσσαρακοντατρεῖς·
The children of Cariathiarim, Chaphira, and Beroth, seven hundred and forty-three.
26 υἱοὶ τῆς Ραμὰ καὶ Γαβαὰ ἑξακόσιοι εἰκοσιεῖς·
The children of Rama and Gabaa, six hundred and twenty-one.
27 ἄνδρες Μαχμὰς ἑκατὸν εἰκοσιδύο·
The men of Machmas, one hundred and twenty-two.
28 ἄνδρες Βαιθὴλ καὶ Ἀϊὰ τετρακόσιοι εἰκοσιτρεῖς·
The men of Baethel and Aia, four hundred and twenty-three.
29 υἱοὶ Ναβοὺ πεντηκονταδύο·
The children of Nabu, fifty-two.
30 υἱοὶ Μαγεβὶς ἑκατὸν πεντηκονταέξ·
The children of Magebis, one hundred and fifty-six.
31 υἱοὶ Ἠλαμὰρ χίλιοι διακόσιοι πεντηκοντατέσσαρες·
The children of Elamar, a thousand and two hundred and fifty-four.
32 υἱοὶ Ἠλὰμ τριακόσιοι εἴκοσιν·
The children of Elam, three hundred and twenty.
33 υἱοὶ Λοδαδὶ καὶ Ὠνὼ ἑπτακόσιοι εἰκοσιπέντε·
The children of Lodadi and Ono, seven hundred and twenty-five.
34 υἱοὶ Ἱεριχὼ τριακόσιοι τεσσαρακονταπέντε·
The children of Jericho, three hundred and forty-five.
35 υἱοὶ Σεναὰ τρισχίλιοι ἑξακόσιοι τριάκοντα·
The children of Senaa, three thousand and six hundred and thirty.
36 καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς υἱοὶ Ἰεδουὰ τῷ οἴκῳ Ἰησοῖ ἐνακόσιοι ἑβδομηκοντατρεῖς·
And the priests, the sons of Jedua, [belonging to] the house of Jesus, [were] nine hundred and seventy-three.
37 υἱοὶ Ἐμμὴρ χίλιοι πεντηκονταδύο·
The children of Emmer, a thousand [and] fifty-two.
38 υἱοὶ Φασσοὺρ χίλιοι διακόσιοι τεσσαρακονταεπτά·
The children of Phassur, a thousand and two hundred [and] forty-seven.
39 υἱοὶ Ἠρὲμ χίλιοι ἑπτά·
The children of Erem, a thousand [and] seven.
40 καὶ οἱ Λευῖται υἱοὶ Ἰησοῦ καὶ Καδμιὴλ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ὠδουΐα ἑβδομηκοντατέσσαρες·
And the Levites, the sons of Jesus and Cadmiel, belonging to the sons of Oduia, seventy-four.
41 οἱ ᾄδοντες υἱοὶ Ἀνασὰφ ἑκατὸν εἰκοσιοκτώ·
The sons of Asaph, singers, one hundred [and] twenty-eight.
42 υἱοὶ τῶν πυλωρῶν υἱοὶ Σελλούμ, υἱοὶ Ἀτήρ, υἱοὶ Τελμών, υἱοὶ Ἀκούβ, υἱοὶ Ἀτιτά, υἱοὶ Σωβαΐ, οἱ πάντες ἑκατὸν τριακονταεννέα·
The children of the porters, the children of Sellum, the children of Ater, the children of Telmon, the children of Acub, the children of Atita, the children of Sobai, [in] all one hundred [and] thirty-nine.
43 οἱ Ναθινίμ, υἱοὶ Σουθία, υἱοὶ Ἀσουφά, υἱοὶ Ταβαώθ,
The Nathinim: the children of Suthia, the children of Asupha, the children of Tabaoth,
44 υἱοὶ Κάδης, υἱοὶ Σιαά, υἱοὶ Φαδών,
the sons of Cades, the children of Siaa, the children of Phadon,
45 υἱοὶ Λαβανώ, υἱοὶ Ἀγαβά, υἱοὶ Ἀκούβ,
the children of Labano, the children of Agaba, the sons of Acub,
46 υἱοὶ Ἀγάβ, υἱοὶ Σελαμί, υἱοὶ Ἀνάν,
the children of Agab, the children of Selami, the children of Anan,
47 υἱοὶ Γεδδήλ, υἱοὶ Γαάρ, υἱοὶ Ραϊά,
the children of Geddel, the children of Gaar, the children of Raia,
48 υἱοὶ Ρασών, υἱοὶ Νεκωδά, υἱοὶ Γαζέμ,
the children of Rason, the children of Necoda, the children of Gazem,
49 υἱοὶ Ἀζώ, υἱοὶ Φασή, υἱοὶ Βασί,
the children of Azo, the children of Phase, the children of Basi,
50 υἱοὶ Ἀσενά, υἱοὶ Μοουνίμ, υἱοὶ Νεφουσίμ,
the children of Asena, the children of Mounim, the children of Nephusim,
51 υἱοὶ Βακβούκ, υἱοὶ Ἀκουφά, υἱοὶ Ἀρούρ,
the children of Bacbuc, the children of Acupha, the children of Arur,
52 υἱοὶ Βασαλώθ, υἱοὶ Μαουδά, υἱοὶ Ἀρσά,
the children of Basaloth, the children of Mauda, the children of Arsa,
53 υἱοὶ Βαρκός, υἱοὶ Σισάρα, υἱοὶ Θεμά,
the children of Barcos, the children of Sisara, the children of Thema,
54 υἱοὶ Νασθιέ, υἱοὶ Ἀτουφά,
the children of Nasthie, the children of Atupha.
55 υἱοὶ δούλων Σαλωμών, υἱοὶ Σωταΐ, υἱοὶ Σεφηρά, υἱοὶ Φαδουρά,
The children of the servants of Solomon: the children of Sotai, the children of Sephera, the children of Phadura,
56 υἱοὶ Ἰεηλά, υἱοὶ Δαρκών, υἱοὶ Γεδήλ,
the children of Jeela, the children of Darcon, the children of Gedel,
57 υἱοὶ Σαφατία, υἱοὶ Ἀτίλ, υἱοὶ Φαχεράθ, υἱοὶ Ἀσεβωείμ, υἱοὶ Ἡμεΐ·
the children of Saphatia, the children of Atil, the children of Phacherath, the children of Aseboim, the children of Emei.
58 πάντες οἱ Ναθανὶμ καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀβδησελμὰ τριακόσιοι ἐνενηκονταδύο.
All the Nathanim, and the sons of Abdeselma [were] three hundred and ninety-two.
59 καὶ οὗτοι οἱ ἀναβάντες ἀπὸ Θελμελέχ, Θελαρησά, Χερούβ, Ἡδάν, Ἐμμήρ καὶ οὐκ ἐδυνάσθησαν τοῦ ἀναγγεῖλαι οἶκον πατριᾶς αὐτῶν καὶ σπέρμα αὐτῶν εἰ ἐξ Ἱσραήλ εἰσιν·
And these [are] they that went up from Thelmelech, Thelaresa, Cherub, Hedan, Emmer: and they were not able to tell the house of their fathers, and their seed, whether they were of Israel:
60 υἱοὶ Δαλαΐα, υἱοὶ Βουά, υἱοὶ Τωβίου, υἱοὶ Νεκωδά, ἑξακόσιοι πεντηκονταδύο·
the children of Dalaea, the children of Bua, the children of Tobias, the children of Necoda, six hundred [and] fifty-two.
61 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν τῶν ἱερέων υἱοὶ Λαβεία, υἱοὶ Ἀκκούς, υἱοὶ Βερζελλαΐ, ὃς ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ τῶν θυγατέρων Βερζελλαΐ τοῦ Γαλααδίτου γυναῖκα, καὶ ἐκλήθη ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτῶν·
And of the children of the priests, the children of Labeia, the children of Akkus, the children of Berzellai, who took a wife of the daughter of Berzellai the Galaadite, and was called by their name.
62 οὗτοι, ἐζήτησαν γραφὴν αὐτῶν οἱ μεθωεσίμ, καὶ οὐχ εὑρέθησαν, καὶ ἠγχιστεύθησαν ἀπὸ τῆς ἱερατείας·
These sought their genealogy [as though] they had been reckoned, but they were not found; and they were removed, [as polluted], from the priesthood.
63 καὶ εἶπεν Ἀθερσασθὰ αὐτοῖς τοῦ μὴ φαγεῖν ἀπὸ τοῦ ἁγίου τῶν ἁγίων ἕως ἀναστῇ ἱερεὺς τοῖς φωτίζουσι καὶ τοῖς τελείοις.
And the Athersastha told them that they should not eat of the most holy things, until a priest should arise with Lights and Perfections.
64 πᾶσα δὲ ἡ ἐκκλησία ὁμοῦ ὡσεὶ τέσσαρες μυριάδες δισχίλιοι τριακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα,
And all the congregation together [were] about forty-two thousand and three hundred and sixty;
65 χωρὶς δούλων αὐτῶν καὶ παιδισκῶν αὐτῶν, οὗτοι ἑπτακισχίλιοι τριακόσιοι τριακοντεπτά· καὶ οὗτοι ᾄδοντες καὶ ᾄδουσαι διακόσιοι·
besides their menservants and maidservants, [and] these were seven thousand and three hundred [and] thirty-seven: and [amongst] these were two hundred singing men and singing women.
66 ἵπποι αὐτῶν ἑπτακόσιοι τριακονταέξ, ἡμίονοι αὐτῶν διακόσιοι τεσσαρακονταπέντε,
Their horses [were] seven hundred [and] thirty-six, their mules, two hundred [and] forty-five.
67 κάμηλοι αὐτῶν τετρακόσιοι τριακονταπέντε, ὄνοι αὐτῶν ἑξακισχίλιοι ἑπτακόσιοι εἴκοσι.
Their camels, four hundred [and] thirty-five; their asses, six thousand and seven hundred [and] twenty.
68 καὶ ἀπὸ ἀρχόντων πατριῶν ἐν τῷ εἰσελθεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς οἶκον Κυρίου τὸν ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἡκουσιάσαντο εἰς οἶκον τοῦ Θεοῦ τοῦ στῆσαι αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν αὐτοῦ·
And [some] of the chiefs of families, when they went into the house of the Lord that was in Jerusalem, offered willingly for the house of God, to establish it on its prepared place.
69 ὡς ἡ δύναμις αὐτῶν, ἔδωκαν εἰς θησαυρὸν τοῦ ἔργου χρυσίον καθαρόν, μναῖ ἓξ μυριάδες καὶ χίλιαι, καὶ ἀργυρίου μνᾶς πεντακισχιλίας, καὶ κόθωνοι τῶν ἱερέων ἑκατόν.
According to their power they gave into the treasury of the work pure gold sixty-one thousand pieces, and five thousand pounds of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.
70 καὶ ἐκάθισαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται καὶ οἱ ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ οἱ ᾄδοντες καὶ οἱ πυλωροὶ καὶ οἱ Ναθινὶμ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν καὶ πᾶς Ἰσραὴλ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν.
So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nathinim, lived in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
