St. Luke of Crimea (1877-1961)
Archbishop Luka (Voyno-Yasenetsky), a renowned surgeon who was also an Orthodox bishop. Suffered 11 years of imprisonment and exile in Soviet camps. Won the Stalin Prize for his medical textbook 'Purulent Surgery' while secretly serving as a bishop. Embodied the union of science and faith. Canonized in 2000. Feast: June 11.
