St. Cosmas of Aetolia (1714-1779)

Greek monk, missionary, and martyr. Traveled throughout Greece and Albania establishing schools and churches, reviving faith during Ottoman occupation. Famous for his Prophecies, many of which are said to have been fulfilled. Martyred by Ottoman authorities. Feast: August 24.
