Patriarchate of Jerusalem

One of the four ancient patriarchates, guardian of the Holy Places. The Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre (Greek monks) has maintained custody of the holiest Christian sites, among them the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Church of the Nativity and the Tomb of the Theotokos, for centuries. The smallest patriarchate by population but immense in spiritual significance.
