St. Paisios of Mount Athos (1924-1994)
One of the most beloved modern Orthodox saints. Greek monk on Mount Athos known for his humility, prophecies, humor, and spiritual counsel. Thousands visited him seeking guidance. Canonized in 2015 by the Ecumenical Patriarchate. His counsels are widely published. Feast: July 12.
