St. Nikodemos of the Holy Mountain (1749-1809)

Athonite monk, prolific author and compiler. Co-compiled the Philokalia (1782) with St. Makarios of Corinth. Also compiled the Rudder (Pedalion): the standard collection of Orthodox canon law with commentary. Wrote the Exomologetarion (manual for confessors) and the Unseen Warfare. A towering figure of the Kollyvades movement. Feast: July 14.
