The second-largest Orthodox Church by membership (about 16-19 million). Autocephalous since 1885; Patriarchate since 1925. Unique as the only Latin-language Orthodox Church. Major theologians: Fr. Dumitru Staniloae (The Experience of God). Beautiful monastic tradition: Painted Monasteries of Bucovina (UNESCO).
