Serbian Orthodox Church
Autocephalous since 1219, granted by the Ecumenical Patriarchate to St. Sava, the founder of Serbian ecclesiastical independence. Patriarchate since 1346. Deeply intertwined with Serbian national identity. Major centers: Belgrade, Pec Patriarchate (Kosovo), Zica Monastery.
