St. Nektarios of Aegina (1846-1920)
Metropolitan of Pentapolis, beloved modern Greek saint. Unjustly deposed and slandered, he bore his suffering with patience and love. Founded the Holy Trinity Convent on Aegina, where he served humbly. Known as a miraculous healer even after death: one of the most widely venerated saints in Greece. Canonized in 1961. Feast: November 9.
