On the Incarnation (St. Athanasius)

Written c. 318 AD, one of the most important theological works in Christianity. Explains why God became human: to restore the image of God in humanity, to conquer death, and to enable theosis. 'God became man so that man might become god.' C.S. Lewis called it a masterpiece in his introduction to the English translation.
