The Church is the Body of Christ, the continuation of Pentecost, the community of the faithful united in the Eucharist under the bishop. The Church is One (undivided), Holy (sanctified by the Spirit), Catholic (universal in fullness), and Apostolic (founded on the Apostles). The Church is not an institution but a living organism: the mystical Body of Christ.
